Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority

The Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority (CEFIA) works to achieve cleaner, cheaper, and more reliable sources of energy for Connecticut and to ensure Connecticut’s energy security and community prosperity. CEFIA invests its resources in an array of enterprises, initiatives and projects aimed to attract and deploy capital to finance the clean energy goals of Connecticut; develop and implement strategies that lower the cost of clean energy to make it more accessible and affordable to consumers; and reduce reliance on grants, rebates and other subsidies in order to move toward innovative low-cost financing of clean energy deployment. CEFIA is the successor organization to the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) and was created as a part of Public Act 11-80.
