Know Which Costs to Compare

It's easy to compare costs and energy sources. All you need is a recent copy of your utility bill. Delivery services are still provided by CL&P or UI and regulated by the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA), so there will be no interruption to your service. Your comparison is only for the generation portion of your bill.

Your comparison will also include energy sources. Although state renewable-energy standards mandate that all electric suppliers include at least 17% renewable energy in their supply, some suppliers exceed that amount. You can support renewable energy generation by selecting a supplier with more renewable energy supply.
