Reduce Costs, Improve Services

Reducing operating costs allows you to focus more resources on delivering housing services. Making energy-saving improvements can yield immediate cost savings that you can redirect to client services. Energize Connecticut helps you prioritize improvements and connects you with funding resources to make projects affordable.

Overview

Smart energy improvements can make your organization more sustainable, freeing up funds to better serve the public. Energize Connecticut’s partners are ready to work with you to identify energy-saving and renewable energy opportunities that offer a range of benefits. Beyond energy cost savings, improving energy performance can enhance health and comfort; reduce operations and maintenance costs; and minimize environmental impacts.

We recognize that many nonprofit organizations operate on a tight budget. Our programs use financial incentive strategies to help you offset the cost of purchasing and installing energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions.

How We Help

Your organization can take advantage of a number of energy efficiency and renewable energy programs funded through the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund and the Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority. You can benefit from cash incentives, financing options, and, if you meet peak demand requirements, from the full-service energy efficiency program Small Business Energy Advantage.

If your organization owns or manages a multi-family building, you may also be interested in our Commercial Multi-Family program. This program takes a holistic approach to making multi-family facilities, including assisted living facilities, more energy efficient and comfortable.
