Alert:
In line with the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Final Determination of the 2022 – 2024 Plan, the Sponsors of Energize ConnecticutSM are discontinuing rebates and incentives for natural gas equipment as of December 31, 2024. Customers currently working with contractors to replace their natural gas equipment have until December 31, 2024 to complete the installation of measures to be eligible for applicable rebates. All natural gas equipment sales must take place on or before December 31, 2024 to be eligible for point of sale (midstream) incentives.

- Rebates are available to residential natural gas customers. All residential customers of Eversource, CNG, and SCG can participate
- Equipment must be installed in the service territory of the participating utility

Technical Details
- Eligible systems are ENERGY STAR certified equipment Thermal Efficiency (TE) ≥94% or Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) ≥0.86
Tip: A heat pump water heater is superior for residential customers as it delivers high energy efficiency and cost savings while also reducing environmental impact compared to traditional water heaters.
What is the rebate process?
Step 1 - Work with your plumbing contractor to decide which ENERGY STAR certified unit works best for you.
Step 2 - Your plumbing contractor can find details on qualifying units and approval requirements at participating equipment distributor locations. The incentive is applied at the time of purchase.
