Home Energy Solutions (for renters residing in buildings with up to four units)

As a renter, you still qualify for services that improve your quality of life through energy efficiency upgrades. With your landlord’s approval, energy professionals will make improvements that lower your energy bills for immediate and long term-savings and improved comfort.

Home Energy Solutions is available to eligible customers for a small fee, paid at the time of the visit. After energy efficiency upgrades are completed, you will benefit from increased comfort due to fewer drafts and a more consistent temperature in your unit.

Visit the Home Energy Solutions page to get started.

Note: If you are a renter residing in a building with more than four units, point your landlord to the Multifamily Initiative to receive potential energy efficiency upgrades for the entire property.

Home Energy Solutions – Income-Eligible (for renters residing in buildings with up to four units)

If your family’s combined gross annual income is below the state’s 60 percent income median, you may qualify for no-cost energy-saving services, including 100% off the cost of approved insulation projects. With your landlord’s approval, a technician certified by the Building Performance Institute will come to your apartment and make energy-saving improvements to reduce drafts and help you save on your lighting, heating, and water bills. If you qualify for additional services such as insulation or a more energy-efficient refrigerator, they will arrange for contractors to come back to your home and do the work at significantly reduced cost.

Visit the Home Energy Solutions – Income-Eligible page to learn more.

Note: If you are a renter residing in a building with more than four units, point your landlord to the Multifamily Initiative to receive potential energy efficiency upgrades for the entire property.
