The Sponsors of Energize ConnecticutSM, in partnership with Capital for Change (C4C), will discontinue the Energize CT Heating Loan program on December 31, 2024.  Connecticut House Bill 5002, Public Act 19-35, which extended the Energize CT Heating Loan, originally created as a result of Public Act 13-247, requires the program expire at the end of its eleventh year, 2024. Applications will be accepted until the close of business on December 31, 2024, with no renewals or new submissions after. All completion paperwork for approved projects must be submitted by March 31, 2025—no exceptions. Please ensure projects can be completed within this timeframe before applying. This end date applies only to the Energize CT Heating Loan. All other loan products will remain available.

Micro Loans

Home Energy Solutionsâ„  (HES) participants may qualify for 0%, fixed-rate loans of $1,000 to $3,000. Eversource and UI customers can make loan payments through their utility bill.

Heating Loan

This program offers financing up to $15,000 at a 0.99% interest rate for the purchase and installation of eligible energy-saving heating equipment including boilers, furnaces and electric heat pumps. Repayment is available through your electric utility bill.

Energy Conservation Loan (Emergency)

The Energy Conservation loan program is limited to emergency situations only (non-working heating systems and leaking roofs). Applicants must be ineligible for other programs in order to qualify for an emergency loan.

Multifamily Property Loans

Energy efficiency upgrades of multifamily buildings or complexes with five or more units, made through the Multifamily Program, may qualify for incentive dollars and financing the balance of the energy efficiency upgrade project costs.
