    Program Updates

      Effective July 1, 2024, residential customers applying for a heat pump rebate will need to pre-register projects at the start of the rebate application process to qualify for payment.

      In line with the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Final Determination of the 2022 – 2024 Plan, the Sponsors of Energize Connecticut are discontinuing rebates and incentives for natural gas equipment as of December 31, 2024. Customers currently working with contractors to replace their natural gas equipment have until December 31, 2024 to complete the installation of measures to be eligible for applicable rebates. All natural gas equipment sales must take place on or before December 31, 2024 to be eligible for point of sale (midstream) incentives.

      The Sponsors of Energize Connecticut, in partnership with Capital for Change (C4C), will discontinue the Energize CT Heating Loan program on December 31, 2024.  Connecticut House Bill 5002, Public Act 19-35, which extended the Energize CT Heating Loan, originally created as a result of Public Act 13-247, requires the program expire at the end of eleventh year, 2024. Applications will be accepted until the close of business on December 31, 2024, with no renewals or new submissions after. All completion paperwork for approved projects must be submitted by March 31, 2025—no exceptions. Please ensure projects can be completed within this timeframe before applying. This end date applies only to the Energize CT Heating Loan. All other loan products will remain available.

        To Support Program Design for the 2025-2027 Conservation and Load Management Programs. Responses due by January 17, 2025 at 4:00 pm, EST.

         

        The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is requesting feedback on the 2025-2027 Conservation and Load Management (C&LM) Plan.  Anyone can respond to this RFI. In particular, DEEP is interested in responses from energy contractors, potential program participants, labor organizations, manufacturers of efficiency equipment and materials, community-based organizations, local governments, non-governmental organizations, residents, building owners and landlords, and potential and existing program administrators. 

        The Companies have filed the final versions of the 2025-2027 C&LM Plan, the 2025 Program Savings Document, the Budget Optimization Plan, and the Filing Cover Letter with DEEP.
