Benefits for Commercial Customers

  • Efficiently heat your company’s building by focusing on areas where space is being actively used
  • Save money on your energy bills by leaving unused spaces unheated
  • Heat spaces quietly since infrared heaters distribute warmth without fans

Tip: Heat pumps are an excellent alternative for heating, as a highly-efficient system with the flexibility to offer both heating and cooling in one system. Operating on electricity, they minimize environmental impact by reducing the use of fossil fuels for heating and cooling. Embrace a cleaner, more efficient way to maintain comfort year-round with heat pumps.

Information & Tips

Natural gas infrared heaters are mounted overhead to emit quiet radiant energy down to the people, objects, and floor at the working level of a building. This creates warm, comfortable conditions while using less energy. Infrared heaters are well-suited for large structures such as warehouses, loading docks, fire stations, and aircraft hangars where not all the air in a space needs to be warmed or is inefficient to warm.

Tip: Consider clean heating and cooling alternatives like heat pumps, which provide efficient, year-round comfort while reducing environmental impact. Explore the benefits of this sustainable option.

Because infrared heaters only warm specific areas and objects, they don’t waste energy heating an entire room. They also don’t require preheating since they work instantly by transferring heat, which reduces your energy costs.

Maintenance for infrared heaters is minimal because there are no moving parts, no motor to wear out, or air filters to replace. You just need to periodically clean their reflectors to keep them working efficiently.

Infrared heaters do not reduce humidity or oxygen content in a space, so they don’t dry out your sinuses or skin, or cause static electricity like other kinds of heaters. Also, infrared heaters produce the same type of heat as the sun, but don’t generate harmful UV radiation like it.

    Alert:

In line with the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Final Determination of the 2022 – 2024 Plan, the Sponsors of Energize ConnecticutSM are discontinuing rebates and incentives for natural gas equipment as of December 31, 2024. Customers currently working with contractors to replace their natural gas equipment have until December 31, 2024 to complete the installation of measures to be eligible for applicable rebates. All natural gas equipment sales must take place on or before December 31, 2024 to be eligible for point of sale (midstream) incentives.

    How Infrared Heating Works

Most heaters use convection to gradually heat the air and let it circulate until it has permeated your entire space, but infrared heaters emit a precise beam of heat that warms you directly with a constant stream of heat particles. Infrared heaters help you warm up quickly using fast-acting heat rays that dispel cold air.
