How to get started
Check Eligibility
- Rebates are available to commercial and industrial electric service customers of Eversource and United Illuminating.
- Equipment must be installed in the service territory of the participating utility.
- Equipment must be installed by a contractor participating in the Energize CT Heat Pump Installer Network.
- Rebate amount cannot exceed 100% of the total installation cost.
Technical Details
- Equipment must be AHRI rated. Heat pumps under 5.4 tons must be on the Qualified Products List. Heat pumps 5.4 tons or greater must meet the minimum requirements on the measure list.
- Tonnage is based on AHRI cooling capacity. (1 ton = 12,000 BTUs). Tonnage is calculated by dividing AHRI cooling capacity by ton and rounding to two decimal places.

What is the process?
To help your business make the switch, you can receive incentives up to $250 per ton for purchasing eligible heat pumps.
Heat pump incentives are offered based on the system (tonnage) and are available after the installation of your heat pump.
